A five-minute look that means business

Whether you’re rushing out the door or juggling a packed morning, a little glow goes a long way. Thanks to makeup artist Katli Motete from Kay Nail and Beauty Bar at Fleurdal Mall, you can achieve a quick, simple five-minute look – perfect for the working woman.

Remember, less is more!

  1. Start by prepping your skin

Begin with a lightweight primer to smooth texture and ensure long-lasting wear.

  1. Define and shape your brows

Fill in your brows with a powder that matches your hair colour. Then, clean up and shape the edges by tracing a small amount of concealer underneath the brow line and blending softly for a lifted, defined finish.

  1. Even your complexion

Smooth on your foundation, blending thoroughly, bringing it down the neck for a natural, cohesive look.

  1. Brighten with concealer

Apply a concealer one shade lighter than your foundation to the under-eye area and any points needing brightness, blending seamlessly.

  1. Set for all-day wear

Use a pressed matte powder to lock in the base and add light coverage.

  1. Add dimension

Lightly contour with a soft bronzer and finish with a fresh pop of blush on the cheeks.

  1. Enhance your eyes

For work, stick to neutral tones: apply a deeper shade in the crease to define, and a lighter shade in the inner corner to brighten.

  1. Line and lift

Line the eyes for subtle structure and apply volumising mascara to open up the lashes.

  1. Finish with a polished lip

Outline with a long-lasting, natural lip liner and top with a glossy finish you can easily reapply throughout the day.
