Cocktail hour just got a whole lot earlier. And more interesting. The new range of Dilmah Tea has flavour options like Cherry and Almond, Apple, Cinnamon and Vanilla, Mango and Strawberry … flavours that just beg to be used in glorious Summer cocktails.

Cherry Sorbet

You’ll need … 100ml chilled Dilmah Tea Cherry & Almond, 40ml red grape juice, 20ml sugar syrup, 1 big scoop lemon sorbet ice cream

To make … Fill a sling glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour the grape juice and syrup into the glass. Add the scoop of sorbet ice cream. Slowly pour the tea over the ice cream into the glass. Garnish with a red currant string and slices of lemon.

Lanka Sunset

You’ll need … 70ml chilled Dilmah Tea Apple, Cinnamon and Vanilla, 20ml apple juice, 10ml fresh lemon juice, 15ml sugar syrup

To make … Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Using a strainer, strain into a pre-chilled martini glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick and slice of apple.

 

 

 

I Scream, Soda!

You’ll need … 120ml chilled Dilmah Tea Peach & Lychee, 15ml sugar syrup, 4 scoops stracciatella ice cream, soda

To make … Pour the tea and syrup into a large highball glass and stir. Add scoops of ice cream, and top up with soda. Garnish with a string of red currants.

Sweet Dreams

You’ll need …

80ml fresh brewed Dilmah Tea Mango & Strawberry, 1 large scoop white chocolate ice cream, 20ml Monin Noisette syrup

To make …

Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Using a strainer, strain into a pre-chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a slice of strawberry, slice of mango and chocolate flakes.
