For sundowners, opt to sit at the bar outside … the peaceful sounds of running water from the pool features will make you feel as if you’ve escaped the city for a while (bliss!). You may catch some golfers taking a swing on the Houghton golf course too.
When it gets chilly during winter nights, head indoors … you can resume a bar-seated position, but we highly recommend the comfy lounge areas. There are a few spaces to choose from … some social, others slightly more intimate. The decor is tasteful … greys, whites, wooden and a touch of blue, with stylish lighting.
And the drinks? Spoilt for choice! There’s an impressive wine selection … the Bordeaux- and Rhone-style blends are fashionable choices. Hugely popular are the on-tap beers, range of whiskies and vast selection of gins that you can garnish as you wish. Cocktails? Staff can whip up an array of them … think refreshing Long Island ice teas and zesty margaritas (both pictured). They can stir – or shake – up a martini (Bond would be happy) … and there’s even an espresso martini that’s apparently so delicious it’s already a favourite!
