Calling all Jozi stay-cationers … if you’re looking for a good time on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the festive season, then read on…
You’re in for a treat at the D’USSÉ Cocktail Bar at Hallmark House … think appetising cocktails, great food, amazing music and gorgeous views on Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as Sunday mornings from 11am for an all-day brunch offering until 12 January.
So who’s come together to curate this festive experience? Chef Katlego Mlambo – you may recall he was once selected by Barack Obama to curate a dinner for the once-in-a-lifetime Mandela USA 100 Year tribute event; interior architect Tristan Du Plessis; D’USSÉ Cognac, property pioneers TJ and Louis Steyn of the Saxon Hotel and Steyn City; the Lalela Art Project – a groundbreaking initiative focused on at-risk youth; and Dale de Ruig, who established the evocatively elegant Marabi Club.
Francois Portier, area director for Bacardi in Sub-Saharan Africa, says, ‘D’USSÉ Cognac has distinguished itself as a premium offering that can be both traditional and iconic, as well as adventurous and bold.
‘The D’USSÉ Pop-Up Cocktail Bar at Hallmark House is an amazing representation of what the brand is about. The collaboration between seasoned, world-renowned players and vibrant new talent, working together to create a memorable experience that defines Joburg’s timeless energy, a space where incredible moments and timeless memories will be made.’
Hallmark House is at 54 Siemert Rd, New Doornfontein.
