Elevate your fitness… your lifestyle

We’ve just heard about a new studio that’s worth checking out. Elevate Movement – which has popped up in Parkhurst – is a yoga, sculpt and dance cardio fitness studio.

And owner Lia Mundell, who has a dozen or so years’ experience in teaching yoga and a deep passion for holistic health, had one mission. Exercise less so you can show up more. Intrigued much?

In a nutshell, she made wellness and exercise more accessible … offering short – we’re talking 30 to 45 minutes max – feel-good movement classes which you can easily slip into your day. Particularly since classes are at convenient times … 6am and 7am before the school run, just after 8 for those who need to drop the children off first, 5.45pm for after work but before dinner prep. Clever!

Lia says Elevate Movement isn’t just another fitness studio. “It’s a sanctuary for nurturing wellness and mental health. In our fast-paced world, where stress and anxiety often take centre stage, dedicating just 30 minutes daily to movement can significantly elevate mood, enhance inner well-being, and positively influence overall health.”

There are classes to suit all, from the Slow and Steady option – a slower paced class specifically for those who want to elevate their current fitness routine, start a new one or simply rediscover movement, to the Elevate Sculpt movement class which combines yoga, sculpt and dance cardio, with the use of light weights, small balls and yoga blocks, is a fun, short and simple workout to great music that will leave you sweaty, happy and feeling good and is perfect for level of fitness, as well as pilates intense core and yoga flow session.

Details: Rates are from from R145 for a single half-hour class to R1800 for a month of unlimited classes, with plenty of package options in between. 70 12th Street, Parkhurst. www.elevatemovement.co.za
