Meet your heroes (and their rescues) at Jozi’s most feel-good day out on Sunday 12 October, when Bryanston Market hosts the 4th annual Rescue Expo, a one-day celebration of everything furry, feathered, scaly or whiskered.
Think of it as Comic Con, but for animal lovers: over 50 animal rescue organisations, meet-and-greets with adoptable pets, shopping for pet gear, great food and the chance to connect with the real-life heroes who dedicate their days (and nights) to saving animals across Gauteng – making second chances possible.
Joburg’s animal lovers are hungry for experiences that feel good and do good.
Whether you want to support causes that need every bit of help they can get, or just hang out with like-minded people who get as excited about a rabbit as they do a rescue pup, the Rescue Expo is the place to be.
From species-specific specialists to full-service shelters and welfare partners, expect:
Greyhound Welfare, Husky Rescue, Border Collie Rescue, Golden Retriever Rescue, GSP Rescue, Friends of Free Wildlife, Brainy Birds, Cheeky Beaks, ARC Rabbit Assist, Pigs n Paws, Cat Family Foundation, Jozi Feral Cat Carers, Lanseria Ferals, Golden Harvest Ferals, Schnauzer Rescue SA, Rat Angels, Rest Ur Ass donkey sanctuary, Ridgeback Rehab, Adorabull, FORA, HAWS, CLAW, Vaalpets, The Lions Foundation, No More Tears, The Dawn Paws Foundation, Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue & Rehome – alongside supportive pet-care brands like Ideal, Purina, Vondis, Pawsome Raw, Zoetis, Pet Brands, Acana, Pegasus and more.
