Vintage with Love brings Furniture Fest to Jozi
Vintage with Love … the furniture edition! This well-known non-profit organisation that raises funds for a network of literacy and education-focused charities across South Africa introduces Furniture Fest to Joburg.
Founded on the belief that pre-loved can be powerful, Vintage with Love has spent more than a decade turning donated and pre-loved clothing into funding for literacy and education initiatives across South Africa.
In 2023, that philosophy moved beyond the wardrobe and into the home with the launch of Décor for a Difference at the Johannesburg Big Sale. Furniture Fest is the next chapter … a four-day event that brings together a curated collection of quality pre-loved furniture that has been lovingly restored, reimagined and beautifully finished. The theme Where Home Meets Heart will bring beautiful interiors, conscious consumption and meaningful impact together under one roof.
This is not a traditional second-hand furniture sale,” explains Tracey Butler, managing director of Vintage with Love. “Furniture Fest is about seeing the potential in quality pieces and transforming them into beautiful, contemporary furniture for today’s homes. Each piece has been carefully selected for its potential, then restored, reimagined and given a new lease on life.” Many pieces in the collection have been expertly reupholstered in beautiful statement fabrics generously donated by Ardmore and other well-known fabric houses, adding a fresh, contemporary feel while celebrating the character and craftsmanship of the original furniture.
The VIP opening evening will be from 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday, October 15, with tickets costing R300. The sale will continue from 9am on October 16 to October 18 and entry will be free. It’s on at Design Quarter, Joburg. Book through https://www.vintagewithlove.co.za/furniture-fest
