Your grocery run just got fancy

If your idea of a good time involves freshly baked bread and discovering something new and delicious, you’ll want to put the new Woolworths Food Emporium at Dainfern Square onto your must-visit list.
It’s the first food emporium in Gauteng and, dare we say, it’s giving the humble grocery shop a rather fabulous makeover. Think spacious, stylish and seriously inviting, with gorgeous displays, foodie finds around every corner and enough temptation to make a quick shop very unlikely.
There’s an expanded bakery filled with freshly baked artisanal breads and pastries, a sushi counter with fresh sushi daily, and specialist butcher, fishmonger and cheese counters where you can browse, ask questions and perhaps get a little carried away! The Elevated Pantry is a treasure trove of premium local and international favourites, while the What’s Cooking Bar serves up recipe inspiration, samples and plenty of ideas for your next meal.

And then there’s the florist, with fresh seasonal flowers and a bloom bar for creating bespoke bunches. Because apparently buying groceries is now an opportunity to leave with flowers, too. We’re not complaining.
Sweet tooth? Oh dear … Prepare yourself. The massive, dedicated Chuckles experience section is a chocolate lover’s slice of heaven. Seriously, it deserves a moment all on its own.

Whether you’re stocking up for the week, looking for something special for dinner or simply popping in to see what’s new, Woolies Dainfern has turned grocery shopping into something you’ll actually want to linger over. Consider this your official warning. Going in for just one thing? We admire your optimism.
