* Vegetable oil for frying
* 1kg fresh cod fish (or other white fish)
* 1 cup of all-purpose flour
* 2 Tbsp garlic powder
* 2 Tbsp paprika
* Salt and pepper
* 340ml beer
Cut the fish into four servings and season with salt and pepper.
Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika in a bowl. Mix the beer into the dry ingredients until a thin batter is formed.
Coat the fish fillets in the batter and then fry them until golden brown.
Serve with chips and lemon wedges.
