SPAR race day success

The streets of Jozi were awash with a sea of peach as women from all corners of the city and surrounding areas came together to celebrate their strength, resilience, and determination.

SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi delivered a sold-out event with 12 000 runners. Glenrose Xaba took the top spot in the race, crossing the finish line in a time of 32:48.

Xaba’s victory also solidified her position as the winner of the Grand Prix Series, making her the first South African to claim this title since the inclusion of international athletes.

Local charities Headstart Kids, Smile Foundation and Reach for Recovery each benefited from this event receiving a generous donation of R50 000.

Keeping the crowd energised were MCs Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp and Arnold Geerdts as participants and supporters enjoyed a day of empowerment and community.
