Having your hair and nails done is always a treat. Having them both done at the same time when you’re a busy, multi-tasking woman? An absolute dream! We popped into well-known hair salon, Ashleigh D Hair for the full ‘dream team’ experience.
Tucked away in a beautiful salon at Tiffany’s Centre in Salt Rock, Ashleigh D Hair needs little introduction. Owned and founded by Ashleigh Dawn Naicker, the salon-and-nail-bar is well-known on the North Coast for its friendly staff and professional service and they have a strong local customer base.
Which is why we were very excited to have been invited to spend a few hours experiencing what they have to offer!
It can be a little daunting trying a hair salon for the first time. It’s no big deal if you’re just popping in for a quick blow out or trim, but when you’re getting full colour and a cut, you want to know you’re being looked after by someone who knows what they are doing.
Long-time hair stylist, Vanusha, is one such person. Her knowledge of the Wella professional range of hair colours they use, and the ease with which she helps you select the right hue for you, immediately put you at ease and you can sit back, relax and enjoy your cappuccino.
That is unless you’ve decided to have your nails done at the same time. While it can be nice to spend time relaxing and indulging in beauty treatments, often as busy women we just don’t have the time to get everything done. What a treat it is to be able to have your hair coloured while having your nails taken care of simultaneously – talk about killing two birds with one stone! Their nail treatments include mani’s, pedi’s, gel and nail art.
When it comes to their hair expertise, the team at Ashleigh D have over 20 years ‘experience between them. They are professional and caring and pride themselves on being up-to-date with the latest trends, styles and techniques. The ladies behind the basins are also very friendly and give pretty amazing head massages during your wash and rinse!
