Style, on our doorstep

We adore Ted Baker (but then again, who doesn’t?), which is why we’re thrilled that they have just opened the doors of their brand-new Gateway store! Drawing inspiration from our beautiful North Coast, the store’s funky décor pays homage to the beach town of Umhlanga, with details from a typical ‘British pier’ setting. But even more wonderful than the décor is, of course, the clothing. The Spring/Summer ranges are inspired by florals, interesting shapes and adventure and, as always, feature incredible attention to detail. The store houses menswear and womenswear as well as footwear and accessories.

Get your glow on!

Whip out those cozzies, it’s time to bronze up and hit the beach. We’re big fans of the Skinny Tan self-tanning range of products, all of which are vegan friendly, nourishing and hydrating and completely streak-free! Skinny Tan was recently awarded the Woman & Home Beauty Self-Tanning Award, and their products are now available in beautiful new packaging. Details: Available at Clicks and Dis-Chem stores.

Drink wine … support the ellies!

Balance, the quirky range of generous, everyday wines, has been relaunched after a stylish makeover. Besides looking (and tasting) good, the range also supports desert elephant conservation by adopting the Elephant Human Relations Aid (EHRA) as a CSI initiative. For every bottle sold, a contribution is made to fund the EHRA PEACE project, an educational programme promoting the peaceful cohabitation of local communities with desert elephants in Southern Africa.
Taking the conservation of desert elephants even further, the wine’s packaging uses digital technology linked to an exciting online game to support this initiative. You can win Balance Bucks to buy more wine, and every time you successfully complete a final stage of the game, a donation is made your behalf.
The Classic range includes an easy-drinking Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a delicately sweet Rosé, while the Balance Winemaker’s Selection range has six single varietal wines, including a lightly wooded Chardonnay, a fruity Pinot Grigio and an elegant Pinot Noir. Available from your local bottle store or online, from R47.

Care meets colour . . .

Moroccanoil’s Color Depositing Mask Collection is, quite frankly, a stroke of genius. Not only does the range nourish and protect your hair, but the products also deposit pigments at the same time. Available in 7 curated shades, the range offers all the benefits of a conditioning mask while enhancing the tone and refreshing your existing hair colour. And it leaves your hair super shiney and soft at the same time! The pigments are temporary and will eventually fade with regular washing.
