A little girl’s dream

Every mother dreams of giving her daughter the bedroom of her dreams. This Umhlanga mom has managed to do just that . . . for all three of her little girls!

Lifestyle blogger and party planner Caley Rosenberg refers to her daughters as her ‘three little princesses’. Passionate about curating beautiful spaces, Caley says she took each of her daughter’s personalities into consideration when she set out to design their bedrooms. See for yourself . . .

ROOM 1 – ZOE:
“Zoe is our youngest daughter and our little wild child. She has an abundance of energy and brings us endless joy. We wanted her room to represent her and her colourful little personality. We also wanted to maximise what we already had in her nursery. Zoe’s ‘big girl bed’ is a hand-me-down from her big sister and the only new additions to her room were a few cushions, the fake fig leaf plant and her rainbow wall decals. I love that her room is a soft space, filled with bright colours and her favourite things (photos of her family, reading books and her colouring table).

ROOM 2 – ELLIE:

Ellie is our gentle child. She loved being a part of redecorating her room and had very few requests: the two hand-me-down beds from her big sister for sleepovers, soft colours, her sister’s old desk for homework and a quiet reading nook. We managed to re-purpose so many items in her room, like re-covering cushions and headboards and re-using the rug, lamp and shelf décor. She also loves her feature wall of macramé and photographs.

ROOM 3 – SOPHIE:

Sophie is our eldest daughter and was the privileged one who got to do a real room makeover! After passing along all her old room furniture to her sisters, she was so excited to get a bright, new four-poster bed, a double desk for mom to do homework with her and a day bed for reading time and extra space for sleepovers. Sophie is our extrovert and social butterfly and she wanted everything to be as bright as possible. We love the bright wallpaper and bed posts and she had lots of fun adding photographs, reminders and memories to her notice board.
