Dr Bhavna Singh
Dr Bhavna Singh is a specialist dermatologist with vast experience in treating skin, hair, nail and mucous membrane disorders. She is a fellow of the College of Dermatologists and has her Master of Medicine in Dermatology. She provides professional services managing a range of adult and paediatric medical conditions. Dr Singh founded Beyond Skin.
Q: What does wellness mean to you – personally and professionally?
Wellness is actively being aware of making the correct choices toward achieving a healthy, balanced and fulfilling life. I aim to prioritise my wellness so that I can navigate life’s challenges both personally and professionally.

Dr Ria Maharaj
Dr Ria Maharaj is a medical practitioner with a passion for aesthetic and emergency medicine. She is the founder of Coastal Medical and Wellness, based at Ballito Junction Mall. Her evidence-based approach blends science with empathy, empowering patients to achieve natural beauty, confidence and holistic balance from within.

Wellness means nurturing both physical and mental health. I advocate for regular screenings, early intervention and self-awareness. Personally, and professionally, I believe that when we know better, we do better.

Dr Luelle Roberts
Dr Luelle Roberts is a born and bred Salt Rock local. She studied medicine at UCT and specialised in anesthesiology at WITS. Being passionate about women’s health and wellness, she’s dedicated to supporting women at her ladies-only medical practice.
Q: What does wellness mean to you – personally and professionally?
Wellness encompasses all essential aspects of a woman’s lifestyle: balanced nutrition, enough sleep, stress reduction, regular exercise and happy, healthy relationships. For most women, wellness includes the benefits of research-driven, evidence-based medicine. I believe that proactivity leads to longevity. Every woman deserves a safe space in which to be heard, validated and empowered.

Dr Yavische Reddy

Nikki Simons – Neurodiversity Centre
Nikki Simons is a clinical psychologist and director of the Neurodiversity Centre, KwaZulu Natal. With over two decades of experience across educational and clinical settings in South Africa and internationally, she supports individuals with neurodevelopmental differences, emotional challenges, and neuropsychiatric disorders through comprehensive assessment and intervention services.
Q: What does wellness mean to you – personally and professionally?
Wellness means knowing yourself deeply and living authentically without pretence. Both personally and professionally, it’s about developing self-insight and living your truth. It’s embracing your passions, leveraging your natural strengths, and continuously evolving into your most authentic self.

Dr Niresha Mudaly
Dr Mudaly is a specialist psychiatrist practising in Ballito. Before opening her practice 16 years ago, she headed the psychiatric services for the Ilembe district. She diagnoses and manages all mental health conditions in children, adolescents, adults and the geriatric populations. She strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to managing mental illness.
Q: What does wellness mean to you – personally and professionally?
Mental wellness is not static! It’s a continuous process of encouraging and fostering positive wellbeing by getting enough sleep, exercising and nurturing healthy relationships. Maintaining my mental health keeps me on a path to enable me to cope with life stressors, develop my skills and abilities and contribute to my community.
