In honour of Mandela Day, the Get It team – joined by enthusiastic volunteers including readers, contestants from Miss Ballito and Miss Ballito Teen, teams from The North Coast Courier and Reddam House Ballito – spent the morning getting their hands dirty for a good cause. Together, they planted vegetable seedlings at three local NGOs: Sinikithemba Organisation, Siyakhula Crèche and Nkobongo Resource Centre, all beneficiaries of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund. This meaningful initiative was made possible by the team from Restore Africa Foundation, who shared their expertise and guided volunteers through the planting process. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Starke Ayres for donating the seedlings and to Living Earth for supplying nutrient-rich compost.
