Fiona Crago has spent more than three decades in real estate, but the story of her career isn’t really about years on a timeline. It’s about people. About trust. About the quiet, often unseen responsibility of guiding someone through one of the most emotional financial decisions of their life.

Nineteen of those years have been under her own banner, building Fiona Crago Real Estate into something deliberately personal in an industry that has become increasingly fast-paced and digital. Before property, she worked in car sales – another world built on negotiation, intuition and reading people well. But it was real estate that ultimately stayed, because it offered something deeper: connection.
“Honourable work” is how she describes it. And for Fiona, that means showing up with honesty, not performance. It means being present for the highs – the first home, the dream upgrade – and the harder moments too, where decisions carry real weight.
Her agency has stayed intentionally small, not out of limitation but choice. In a market that often leans toward scale, Fiona has held onto the belief that authenticity and personal service still matter. “You’re everything to people during the process,” she says – a phrase that reflects both the responsibility and privilege of her role.
She is also candid about the reality of being a woman in business: it can be isolating, demanding, and requires both resilience and empathy in equal measure. But it has also shaped her into someone who values depth over noise, and relationships over transactions.
At the heart of it all is a simple principle: work should mean something. Not just a job, but something you care about deeply enough that it reflects your values when no one is watching.
Outside of work, Fiona finds balance on the golf course and in life on the North Coast – where the weather and easy access to beautiful places offer space to breathe, reset and return to the work she still genuinely loves.
