The world is run by WOMEN. Strong, brave, courageous, witty, kick-ass women. The City of Roses boasts some of the toughest, most compassionate and most inspiring female leaders you’ll ever come across. This month, Get It celebrates these leaders and their superpowers. Because, let’s face it, we’re not just businesswomen. We are mothers, daughters, caretakers, wives, cooks, cleaners, teachers and motivators. We are invested in our communities, and care for those who need a mother’s love. We look at the future while tending to the present with grace and attention to detail. We do it all, with added vava-VOOM for those extra curve balls life throws at us.

In this year’s Get It Women on the Move feature, Vodacom is at the forefront, celebrating this team of strong women with us. Visit www.vodacom.co.za for details on all it has on offer.

Meet Annette Kasselman

Annette Kasselman has been taking the world of real estate by storm. Over the years, she has become a household name in the industry, and for all the right reasons.

This former Mrs South Africa radiates confidence and inner beauty. She is one of three directors and co-franchisee of Realnet Bloemfontein. Annette knows all the ins and outs of the industry and can therefore provide the best service and advice to her clients.

After a diverse career and many highlights in the beauty pageant industry, she embarked on a new journey and joined the property industry after 2012. She was quick to realise that this is one of her biggest joys in life – bonding with people and offering them her services for buying or selling a home for their family. Annette’s other “jobs” include being a brand ambassador for the charity organisation ENGO, Mimosa Mall and Kolor Studio.

“At RealNet, I can fulfil people’s needs, dreams and aspirations and actually make a positive difference in someone’s life.” This career has also offered her the option of working flexi hours, giving her the time to spend with her family. “Without any doubt, assisting clients to find their dream homes, makes my heart happy. Clients definitely turn into friends.”

She’s mom to two beautiful kids – Lesya Nel, a makeup and microblading artist, and Tokkie Kasselman, a business consultant and avid rugby player. Her husband, Chris, is her biggest supporter in life and they love spending time together as a family.

Annette is inspired by her mother, Lesÿa, because of her caring and loving nature. “Even though she cared for my late father full time while he suffered from Parkinson’s disease,
my mom always had a smile on her beautiful face. I admire her strength, character, commitment and zest for life.”
