Don’t just stick to avo on toast. Get creative and think out of the box when it comes to
using avocados.

Love it or hate it? Here are some amazing recipes any avo lover would
die for. Balanced living and foodie, Leona Buys, shares her take on transforming the avo
into greatness with two great recipes that are easy to make.

Dark Chocolate Avo Mousse

You will need

240g avo flesh
¼ cup melted dark choc
(I used Lindt 70%)
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup liquid sweetener
(I used maple syrup)
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk of choice
(I used full fat cow’s milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
(or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend till mixed well. It should be light and fluffy. Transfer to a glass and refrigerate. Serve with fresh berries.

Avocado Butter

Delicious and such a low cal healthy alternative to butter.

You will need

¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 tsp onion powder
3 tablespoons of avocado oil
150g avocado flesh (1 med-large avo)
2 teaspoons of lime juice

Mix ¼ teaspoon salt, 1/8 tsp onion powder with 3 tablespoons of avocado oil. Add 150g avocado flesh (1 med-large avo) and 2 teaspoons of lime juice. Blend until the oil and avo are well combined. Serve on toast or even as a dip. Keep the avo butter in the fridge for three days. Store with cling wrap touching it so it doesn’t lose its colour.

ENJOY!
