Impress your guests this festive season with a classic South African dessert from Leona Buys. Peppermint Crisp Tart is quick, easy and oh-so-yummy!
Ingredients:
½ can of Caramel Treat
250 ml whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Peppermint Crisp chocolate
½ packet Tennis Biscuits
(Makes 6 servings, about 260cal per
serve)
Method:
- Whip the cream (if it is a little chilled
it whips easier and you can use a
food processor or hand mixer for
this part).
- In a separate bowl, whip the
Caramel Treat and vanilla. Then fold
the Caramel Treat gently into the
whipped cream.
- Crush your biscuits to desired
consistency.
- Chop the chocolate bar into small
pieces.
- Start layering your serving glasses.
- First start with a cookie layer, then
add the cream/caramel mix, then a
sprinkling of chocolate.
- Keep layering in that order two or
three times.
- Refrigerate and serve.
