What your favourite cocktail says about you

Your choice of cocktail isn’t just about taste – it’s a statement, a declaration of your style and personality.

Whether it’s a classic martini, or a pina colada, your go-to drink can reveal more about you than a quick google search.

So, let’s delve into what your favourite Solento cocktail says about you this festive season:

Slow sun martini

Summer is for long flowy sundresses (which you wear with an effortless elegance) and lying by the pool, martini glass in hand. What few people know is that you are an extremely competitive person when it comes to gift-giving – you’ve probably been planning out what you’re getting since July.

  • 90ml Solento Reposado
  • 8ml honey
  • Dash of grapefruit bitters
  • Grapefruit twist

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a grapefruit twist.

The Midnight Margy

You are the maximalist fashionista of your friend group, and your apartment reflects that (you’re not a hoarder, you’re a collector!). You may leave your Christmas shopping later than you should, but you best believe you’re getting gifts for all of your pets too.

  • 45ml Solento Reposado
  • 21ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml fresh cucumber juice
  • 15ml agave
  • 15ml organic aloe vera juice
  • Activated charcoal
  • Ice

Rim a rocks glass with floral salt. Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into the glass and garnish with an edible flower.

Cinnamon Solento Sour

Some people may find the festive season stressful, but you’re in your element! Putting up decorations, gift shopping, baking up a storm with mince pies, gingerbread men, fruit cake – it’s no wonder the gang insists on going to yours for cocktail night every week!

  • 60ml Solento Reposado
  • 21ml fresh lemon juice
  • 21ml simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • Dash of cinnamon

Dry shake the tequila, lemon juice, egg white, simple syrup and cinnamon. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with cinnamon.

Solento spicy

As the cocktail name suggests, you bring the spice to every occasion – you can feel the energy start to buzz moment you step into a room. You’re your own person, if you want to dip chips into your milkshake, you will, and if you feel like dancing at this office Christmas party, you WILL.

  • 60ml Solento Añejo
  • 30ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml agave
  • 4 slices fresh jalapeno
  • Sprig of thyme & fresh jalapeno

Muddle the slices of jalapeno in the agave. Add the tequila, lime juice and ice. Shake. Strain over ice into a rocks glass and garnish cucumber slices, fresh jalapenos and a sprig of thyme.

Paloma to the people

You’re often compared to a golden retriever – loyal, extremely enthusiastic, with an addictive energy that everyone wants to be around. Your favourite part about Christmas isn’t the gifts, it’s the FOOD – who can possibly resist the juicy gammon and perfectly crispy roast potatoes? And let’s not even get started on dessert!

  • 60ml Solento Organic Tequila Respasado
  • 45ml Sanpellegrino Pompelmo
  • 30ml Lime Juice
  • 15ml Simple Syrup
  • Ice

Rim a tumbler glass with Himalayan salt. Add all ingredients to a shaker, shake and then strain into the salt-rimmed tumbler glass. Garnish with grapefruit slice. Enjoy!
