New Year’s resolutions are meant to be kept. This month’s activities will help you get into the swing of things and keep true to those exercise resolutions you made at your New Year’s Party!

On 13 January from 7 pm you can learn more about the cosmos by joining the Naval Hill Planetarium for City of Stars. During the presentation, you will discover more about the spectacular spiral star formations, the role of dark matter, and star clusters. Tickets available on Computicket at R20.

Summer Trail Run Continue the fitness trend by joining the Aktief: Summer Trail Run Series! The seven-part series takes place every fortnight, starting on 19 January. The races will start at 6 pm and routes vary from four to seven kilometres, at a cost of R60 per person.

The yearly Kovsie Aquatics Open Water will take place on 21 January and will act as a qualifier for the Midmar Mile. Races will take place at Maselspoort Resort and the first swimmers will take to the water at 8 am. Tickets are available until 17 January on Entry Time starting at R100.

On Saturday, 27 January, you can test yourself by taking part in the Stronger Together Off -Road Triathlon! The race takes place at Smithfield Dam and starts at 6 am. Those brave enough to take on the challenge can enter on Ultimate Sport Service’s website. Entry fees start at R250. Contact Helè Niehaus at 072-819-5672 for enquiries.

Easy Sunday Soul Session Picnic Ramblers Club is hosting an Easy Sunday Soul Session Picnic on 25 February. Celebrate the month of love with easy listening live performances from 11 am. Early bird tickets are available from Computicket at R150.
