Planting indoor trees

A deeper look into various trees to have around the house.

Indoor plants/trees are not only trendy but also timeless and add vitality to any home. With a variety of options available, there’s an indoor plant/tree that can serve as a stunning focal point in any room, regardless of space or style. Whether you’re seeking a subtle touch of greenery or a bold statement piece, it’s a fantastic choice for enhancing your interior design. Here are a few remarkable varieties you can find:

Dracaena:

There are different types available and each provides a special feature that makes it unique. For example, the Green Jewel has tufts of green leaves on tall, thick stems. The height which can grow between 1 to 1.3 metres makes this an attractive houseplant. The Lemon Lime has bending leaves that possess beautiful bright green and lime stripes that can grow up to 3 metres tall. Magenta has a spikier look with thinner and taller stems in a mixture of dark green and burgundy.

Ficus Umbellata:

If you’re looking to make a bold statement, the Ficus Umbrella is best, as it features large, shiny, heart-shaped leaves in a beautiful emerald green. It will require a bit of room as it can grow up to 1.2 metres tall in ideal conditions such as warm temperatures, high humidity and a lot of indirect bright light. This plant requires frequent water as it dries out a bit between watering.

Pachira Aquatica:

The Pachira trees are common houseplants that usually have their thin stems braided. This makes a statement on its own, however, these low-maintenance houseplants are finger-splayed, hand-shaped, bright green leaves that form a pleasing canopy. They can grow up to 18 metres tall in their natural swampy environment, but when confined in a container, they can grow up to 2.5 metres.
