Chanelda van Wyk is a Legal Advisor at Opulentia, where she specialises in Last Wills and Testaments, deceased estate administration, and Trust-related legal and administrative matters.
Having earned her LLB from the University of Pretoria, Chanelda returned to her home province of the Free State in 2022 and joined Opulentia the following year.
Driven by a lifelong desire to uphold justice, Chanelda’s passion for law was clear from a young age. “What is right, is right, and what is wrong, is wrong,” she says — a belief that continues to guide her both personally and professionally.
Balancing her career with her roles as a wife and mother to a young daughter, Chanelda places great importance on clear boundaries and intentional focus. “If you give your all during working hours, you earn the space to be fully present with your family when the day is done,” she explains.
One of her most challenging transitions was navigating the dual identity of being a mother and a working professional. “It comes down to compartmentalising the different areas of your life,” she reflects.
When asked what makes her a woman who means business, Chanelda’s response is clear: “Self-empowerment.” Her signature confidence booster? “Headbands — I have one in every colour!”
Whether walking her dogs after work or advocating for clients with compassion and precision, Chanelda remains grounded in her values: balance, kindness, and unwavering integrity.
