Bloemfontein is buzzing this October with live music, theatre, outdoor adventures and unforgettable nights out. There’s plenty to get excited about!
1 October – Die Broers: Join an evening of live music, good company and entertainment at Summerwood Country Estate in Bloemfontein at 19:00. Enjoy performances by Christo and Cobus Snyman and Nick Stevens. Tickets cost R400 per person or R4,000 for a table of 10 and are available through Quicket. 2 October – JAR Reunion: Join a special reunion featuring past and present members at Aasvoëlklub, Kelly’s View, Bloemfontein. Enjoy an evening of live music and nostalgia from 20:00, with doors opening at 18:00. Tickets cost R100 for early birds via Quicket or R150 at the door.
8 October – Mom’s Night Out: Enjoy a special night out with Mom and friends at Urth Restaurant, featuring delicious food, wine pairings, laughter and good company. The evening starts at 18:00 for 18:30, with tickets costing R500 per lady or R5,000 for a table of 10. Tickets are available through the Urth website, Saints School Office and the Karri App.
9 October – Aurora anniversary: Join Aurora Addiction Recovery Centre as it celebrates 60 years of treatment, hope and recovery at its gala dinner at Urth Restaurant from 18:00. Enjoy a three-course meal and an inspiring keynote address by actor Milton Schorr. Tickets cost R500 per person plus a R35.68 booking fee, or R5,000 for a table of 10 plus a R289.25 booking fee. Tickets are available through Quicket, with sales closing on 2 October.
23 October – Global Leadership Summit: Join the Global Leadership Summit 2026 from 08:30 to 16:30 at Bloemfontein Baptiste Kerk, 1 Van Blerk Ave, Groenvlei. The event aims to inspire and equip leaders with practical tools for greater impact. Tickets cost R600, R550 for groups of 10 or more, or R220 for scholars, plus a R7.50 booking fee. Tickets are available through Computicket.
24 October – Muddy Princess run: Enjoy an outdoor 5km obstacle mud run for women at Geelklip Middelwater-plaas near Bloemfontein from 08:00 to 12:00. 28–31 October – The Story of Emily: Enjoy an evening of music, drama and captivating storytelling with the brand-new musical theatre production The Story of Emily at the Sand du Plessis Theatre at 19:30. Featuring Dawid Minnaar, Kate Normington, Greg Viljoen and Daneel van der Walt, the production brings together original writing, music and design. Tickets range from R200 to R320 and are available through Webtickets.
