We were fortunate to have booked bums on seats for the culinary adventures of Le Petit Chef: Au Naturel, during its run in Durban and wow! What a gastronomic delight! Without a doubt, a one-of-a-kind event, this sensory dinner party experience, hosted at Radisson Blu Hotel in Umhlanga, opened our eyes to a whole new world of dining. We watched in awe – taking in a feast of delicious aromas – as the flirtatious little Frenchman popped onto our plates, in all his pint-sized glory, to entertain and enlighten us ahead of every mouth-watering meal we got to tuck into … an extraordinary salad garden, a spicy bouillabaisse, a seafood extravaganza, a chicken medley, a braai-your-own-steak adventure, and the most satisfying, marshmallow-in-your-mouth kind of dessert. Full? Yes. Happy? Totally. Do it all over again? Absolutely!
