Super Tyres’ Commitment to Safer Roads through Pothole Repair Project

Super Tyres recently launched the Pothole Repair project and aim to make a tangible impact in the communities they serve.

“Our Asibambisane (Let’s carry each other) initiative, originally developed for our staff, has now been extended to the wider community through our Pothole Repair project, which aligns perfectly with our ethos, ‘Let our family take care of your family on the road,” explains Dean Horn – Managing Director of Super Tyres.

Super Tyres has equipped and trained their team, including senior management, to fix typical potholes in residential areas. “As a voluntary community service, we cannot commit to repairing every reported pothole. We focus on smaller potholes in low traffic residential areas and do not receive payment for these repairs,” adds Horn.

Here’s how the initiative works

  • Community members can submit a LOCATION PIN and PHOTO of a pothole via WhatsApp to 064 859 9180, ensuring safety while doing so.
  • Super Tyres will evaluate each submission to confirm if they can undertake the repair.
  • Eligible potholes are listed on the Super Tyres voting website by location and street address https://supertyres.co.za/pothole-repairs/
  • Everyone can vote for the potholes they want repaired.
  • They highest-voted potholes will be prioritised.
  • After repair, Super Tyres will post a picture of the pothole on their website, marking it as ‘completed’.

“We encourage the community to join us in this collaborative effort to improve our roads and safety,” concludes Horn.
