In everyday applications, its versatility is endless – it can be used as a body moisturiser, to nourish dry cuticles, to effortlessly remove eye makeup, be applied as a lip balm, and even used as a split end treatment for damaged locks.

Coconut Oil and Cinnamon Lip Scrub

With a touch of cinnamon for a delicious spicy scent!

You’ll need: 1 tablespoon Nuts About Cooking coconut oil; 2 tablespoons sugar; ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

What to do: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Apply a small amount to the lips and gently rub to exfoliate. Rinse off with warm water.

Coconut Oil and Vanilla Sugar Scrub

Coconut oil deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin, so using it as the base in this vanilla-scented body scrub helps to lock in moisture and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.

You’ll need: ½ cup Nuts About Cooking coconut oil; 1 cup brown sugar; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

What to do: Mix the coconut oil and sugar together until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract for a sweet, comforting scent. Store in an airtight container and use as a body scrub in the bath or shower.

Coconut Oil and Coffee Hand Scrub

Give your hands some love with this gently-exfoliating, deliciously scented hand scrub!

You’ll need: 2 tablespoons Nuts About Cooking coconut oil; 3 tablespoons ground coffee; 1 tablespoon brown sugar

What to do: Mix the coconut oil, ground coffee, and brown sugar together. Scrub the mixture over your hands for several minutes. Rinse off with warm water for soft, sweet-smelling hands.

 

Coconut oil and Honey Hair Mask

For excellent hair nourishment, this recipe combines coconut oil with honey to create a luxurious treatment rich in moisturising properties.

You’ll need: 2 tablespoons Nuts About Cooking coconut oil; 1 tablespoon honey

What to do: Mix the coconut oil and honey and apply to damp hair. Evenly distribute to the ends of each strand, avoiding your scalp unless your hair is very dry. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave on for at least 30 minutes, or even overnight. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and shampoo to remove any residue.

 

Coconut Oil and Lemon Foot Scrub

Coconut oil’s rich fatty acids make it an excellent choice for dry heels – and combined with an exfoliant, you’ve got the recipe for silky soft feet!

You’ll need: ¼ cup Nuts About Cooking coconut oil; ¼ cup sea salt or Epsom salt; 1 tablespoon lemon zest

What to do: Combine the coconut oil, salt, and lemon zest in a bowl. Massage into your feet, focusing on rough areas. Rinse off with warm water and dry your feet thoroughly.
