If you’re not quite looking for a night’s stay but keen for a really lovely brekkie, Fairlawns is just the spot. (We rate theirs as one of the very best in our northern suburbs.) Opt to sit on the elegant terrace and choose from the buffet-style harvest table or the a la carte menu … they’ll both make your mouth water – and you won’t regret trying the eggs Benedict Milanese. (Brekkie’s R235.) You can also pop in for a tasty lunch, high tea or, if you stop by for dinner, be sure to raise a glass in the champagne room for an apéritif. Divine!
