Coolifting … five minutes to beauty

It has, for many of us, been a long, weary winter. But Spring is just around the corner, and we’re (albeit hesitantly) venturing out. If you’re like us, your skin may be looking a little tired … with some fine lines and wrinkles appearing. And if, like us, you’re concerned about having any invasive or drastic proceedure, we’ve found just the thing.

Coolifting (quite the thing, apparently, in Los Angeles, where it’s known as the Hollywood Beauty Gun) is a quick, five minute treatment designed to treat the area around your eyes, forehead, cheeks, lips, and frown lines. And just one session leaves your skin hydrated, plumped, and radiant.

In a nutshell, the treatment combines a unique concentration of hyaluronic acid and other botanicals with a cold, CO2 (carbon dioxide) spray directly onto the skin. This cool CO2 mist helps the hyaluronic solution to saturate more completely and deeply into your skin, increasing its impact.

There’s absolutely no downtime or redness, you see results immediately, but the full effect is seen about 12 hours later – making this the perfect treatment to have before a special date.

For more lasting results, it’s suggested you have three or four sessions – each about two weeks apart.

The Coolifting treatment includes a basic facial, so you’re in the salon for 30 minutes tops, but there are all sorts of extras you can choose from – microneedling, a Cinderella Facial, a RegimA or Nimue Peel and dermaplaning are all options.

Perfect for men and women, the Express Coollift at the Laser Beautique costs R950. Details: For your nearest salon, visit thelaserbeautique.co.za
