A taste of love

Emzini means home … and you’ll certainly feel at home at this new corner neighbourhood restaurant in Westdene.

The brainchild of Ziggy Ravuku and Richard Griffin, who specifically designed this space to make the locals feel right at home, is all offbeat décor, pops of bold colours and patterns, and positive energy and warmth. With plenty of seating – including comfy coaches and a swing table – the relaxed atmosphere allows conversations to flow easily over sundowners outside with a view of Westdene Dam, or at an intimate cosy table indoors when the weather’s unkind.

Then there’s the menu. And you’re certainly spoilt for choice. No chance to get bored, either, as it evolves and changes regularly, making sure regulars keep coming back for more! The insta-worthy dishes look as appetizing as they taste. It’s all homemade goodness … think a showstopper beef and ostrich cheese burger with onion jam topped with all the trimmings, the delicious vegetarian Pasta Parcels del Giorno, the already-popular crack bacon wings with coriander, roasted nuts and lime.

Great pizzas hot out of a wood fire pizza oven, too … the Gorgonzola artichoke and fig, and bacon, avo, rocket and feta ones hit the right spot. The crowd is creative, the restaurant perfect to unwind, chat and dig in. Oh … major plus … they’re dog friendly, too, so your best friend can join you. Open Tuesday to Friday from 11am and weekends from 9am.
