New Summer menu at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa’s Amuse-Bouche Restaurant
Chef Gareth Jordaan and his team have introduced a new Summer menu at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa’s Amuse-Bouche Restaurant, boasting a sophisticated à la carte menu that can be paired with an extensive wine list for a memorable night out.
It’s glam all the way … all comfy leather button-back chairs and white decked tables, chequered flooring and gorgeous modern chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds.
To start, expect dishes like salmon gravlax with herbed dijon mustard, popped rice, pressed melon, citrus crumble, blood orange & lentil dressing. Gosh … swoon already. Or thinly sliced octopus carpaccio, spring onion and tomato chilli salsa, crispy squid & lime vinaigrette dressing. For mains, mille feuille mushrooms, braised leeks, spinach, peppadew, parmesan sauce and micro herb salad sounds fab, as does the shellfish pasta with sautéed mussels, shrimp, Napolitana sauce, grilled tiger prawns, dill oil, basil & grana Padano.
And while we do love a cheese board for dessert, the peanut butter mousse with dark chocolate, meringue kisses, caramel popcorn & cherry gel is massively tempting, as is the baked Passionfruit Ravioli with blueberry ice cream & passionfruit coulis.
