The countdown to Redhill Arts Festival.

RedFest2025 is around the corner … a celebration of the arts, creativity, and community.

Taking place over the Youth Day long weekend, the festival (#RedFest2025) promises four full days of dynamic live music, powerful theatre, children’s entertainment, a buzzing artisanal market, immersive art exhibitions and an exciting comedy festival.

“RedFest has always been about access, inspiration, and community,” says Joseph Gerassi, executive head of Redhill School and festival director. “It’s where families, artists, and audiences come together to celebrate everything that makes the arts in South Africa so vibrant.”

The live music line-up includes Booshle G on Friday, Matthew Mole on Saturday and Zolani Mahola on Sunday. Look forward to theatre productions named Growing Old Disgracefully, Next Level, The King of Broken Things, A Doll’s Life and more.
RedFest is perfect for families, with a magical children’s theatre programme featuring The Railway Children, Mother Goose and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
There’s also a market with around 80 vendors.
To mark Youth Day, the final day of the festival celebrates the next generation of talent with YouthFest. Enjoy a Choir Festival, Orchestra Festival and Marimba Festival. You will also experience the four top student theatre productions from this year’s FEDA (Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts) competition.
The RedFest2025 is open to everyone – families, students, creatives, shoppers, live music fans.
Redhill School, Morningside from June 13 to June 16. Tickets available via TicketPro.
