Step into the stylish Marc’s by Marc Jacobs café to indulge
A new designer café draws on the energy and style of a New York café, reimagined for a South African audience and the first permanent Marc’s by Marc Jacobs café in the world.
Located within Maison Deux, Hyde Park Corner – a luxury concept store that brings together international fashion houses, curated homeware and now a dining experience to match. The Marc Jacobs café is intimate, bold, bright and cheerful. From the yellow imported La Marzocco custom-branded coffee machine to the collections of elegant treats on display.

From fragrance to flavour, each of these entremets is an experience on its own – with all of the ingredients being imported. A crowd pleaser is The Vanille Dream – tonka bean, crème brûlée, vanilla and dark chocolate inspired by the soft warmth of the Daisy Love fragrance.
A good mix of mocktails and matchas look as sophisticated as they taste. We will definitely be back for the Golden Hour mocktail … a refreshing smooth, icy glass of mango, vanilla, coconut, lime and honey. And if you are looking to try something delightfully different, the Lavender Muse Matcha leaves a lingering flavour.
From breakfast waffles topped with smashed avo and bacon to a bagel with Norwegian salmon and caper aioli, each plate is impressively indulgent. Just as they would approach the design of a piece in a collection, the food follows the same philosophy.
Marc’s Harvest Salad wowed with beetroot and butternut prepared in multiple ways – roasted wedge, purée, thinly sliced terrine – so that different flavour profiles and textures appear throughout the dish. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm; Sundays and public holidays 10am to 3pm. Details: maisondeux.co.za
