“Sixteen years ago, we didn’t set out to open just another restaurant. We set out to build a space where life’s most important moments could unfold,” says founder Desmond Mabuza.
The art displayed on the walls by featured artist Thokozani Mthiyane breathes life into each room, and there’s daily live entertainment, with the ample seating filling up with people who enjoy wining and dining in a luxury-feel space, dining on classic dishes.
You are spoilt with a plethora of options to choose from off their menu … from sushi, salads and soups to shellfish, meat and poultry, as well as a long list of desserts.
Expect meticulous attention to detail from the choice of dinnerware to how the dish presents itself on the plate. And you won’t discover fine-dining portions that leave you hungry for more. A starter of seared tuna loin served with horseradish crème, julienne apple, whole grain mustard and shaved fennel arrives to the table vibrant in colour against a dark textured plate, with each bite packing a bold punch of flavour. The seafood options are endless, and there are enough hearty classics you can enjoy this Winter, like the beef Wellington or oxtail served on the bone.
Local and international wines are stored away in a glass cellar with their very own brand, Signature Wine collection available in different blends.
For a more premium experience, you can dine in the private dining area, where the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking panoramic view.
At Signature, your privacy is considered, so no picture or recording will be taken of you during your visit, making sure you can truly dine and be present in the moment.
