Even little ones get itchy scalps, especially if they have sensitive and eczema prone skin. A recent trend in adult hair and beauty is to use the wonder ingredient for irritated and blemished skin, Salicylic Acid, and at Childs Farm they have successfully managed to weave this ingredient into a shampoo for children. Like the rest of their range, this product is suitable for newborns and upwards.

Childs Farm Sensitive Scalp Shampoo – RRP: R97.67 (250ml)

What does it do and why is it different?

Childs Farm sensitive scalp shampoo is un-fragranced and contains Salicylic Acid which helps to gently exfoliate dry flaky skin, then soothes and calms it. It works to remove loose and dead outer layers of the skin. It will occasionally give a tingling feeling to the scalp. It also has natural anti-inflammatory properties. Salicylic Acid, which comes from Willow Bark, is the principal ingredient in aspirin, and has been used since Roman times to relieve pain and inflammation.

This sensitive scalp shampoo contains over 98 per cent naturally derived ingredients. There are no artificial colours and they are free-from parabens, SLSs and mineral oils. As with all their products, Childs Farm sensitive scalp shampoo is clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin and is paediatrician and dermatologist approved, so you can use it on the most delicate of skin with confidence.

Key ingredients

Like all Childs Farm shampoos the sensitive scalp shampoo contains coconut derived surfactants and cleaning agents, as well as moisturising Argan Oil, and, of course, Salicylic Acid. The levels of Salicylic Acid are appropriate for use on baby and child.
