The Market Theatre presents a hard-hitting drama, Rose, by celebrated author Martin Sherman directed by award-winning Malcolm Purkey, starring actress Camilla Waldman. Rose is a survivor. Her life began in 1920 in a tiny Russian village, took her to Warsaw’s ghettoes and a ship called The Exodus, and finally to the salsa-flavoured nights in Miami Beach. Return to the active life with the Fedhealth Magalies Monster and Platinum Trail Run. The Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic will take place on June 5 with entries closing on May 31. The Magaliesberg’s most iconic one-day mountain bike race, affectionately named after the Monster, a gruelling 6km climb up the northern slope of the Magaliesberg. The routes offer three distance options of about 16km, 33km and 65km, making it a diverse event for people of all fitness levels and ages. The eighth annual Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run, to be held on June 6, offers the perfect balance between challenge and reward. The run offers 8km, 12km and 24km trails. Details: stillwatersports.com
