It’s been six years since the last James Bond film, Spectre, was released. So … in case you did not know, the latest movie in the thrilling James Bond franchise is coming to a theatre near you this Friday. And we cannot wait!

No Time To Die is the 25th instalment starring the legendary, fictional character 007. After an 18 month postponement due to Covid-19, the world will finally get to see the most anticipated movie of the summer.

Created by English writer Ian Fleming, Bond already has his Aston Martin DB5, submarine, tuxedo … as well as his choice of gadgets, technology, espionage techniques and perfected the martini … ‘shaken not stirred’.

Now Bond appears in a coin collection from The Royal Mint, created to celebrate the new film. The limited-edition three-coin series has been designed to include the iconic imagery of the Aston Martin, the submarine and the tuxedo. When placed together, the three coins cleverly reveal the 007 configurations.

The South African Gold Coin Exchange and the Scoin Shop have exclusive distribution of all three coins, and the first two coins in the series have already sold out. Now the final coin in the three-part series is available, but not for long.

The reverse shows James Bond’s iconic jacket and bow tie. Overlaid on that, the silhouette of a gun, the last part of the 007 logo. Below the exergue line, the inscription SHAKEN NOT STIRRED, James Bond’s catchphrase describing his preference for the preparation of his martini cocktail.

I grew up with James Bond, and like most boys loved the action sequences, car chases and explosions,’ says Rael Demby, CEO of The South African Gold Coin Exchange and Scoin Shop.

‘I have also noticed the tremendous commercial exposure this movie has generated – a 007 Omega Seamaster, Adidas Sneakers and a limited-edition Range Rover Defender. This three-coin series is a stylish celebration of the sexy, witty and robust James Bond and makes a great addition to any collection … whether an established collector or someone just starting, the silver coins are also a perfect gift for all Bond fans.’

The full James Bond range of coins includes a variety of alloys, weights and denominations. All James Bond coins are exclusive to The South African Gold Coin Exchange and the Scoin Shop.
