If you love a musical, one that is spectacular, and showcases a fantastic line up of both local and international top talent accompained by a full classical orchestra, then you don’t want to miss the RMB Starlight Classics concert.
Concert goers will be treated to a series of unique musical collaborations that blend the world of classical, opera, pop and rock while enjoying a picnic under the stars.
The ever-popular musical spectacular, RMB Starlight Classics, is proud to announce that it will once again be returning to Johannesburg after a two-year hiatus.
The concert takes place over three nights, from 2 – 4 September 2022 at the Country Club Johannesburg in Auckland Park. This AfroSymphonic extravaganza, which has a legacy spanning the past 24 years, showcases both local and international top talent accompanied by a full classical orchestra.

This year’s Johannesburg line-up includes:
- The debut Johannesburg appearance of the newly discovered Mzansi Tenors
- Internationally acclaimed vocalist and Britain’s Got Talent semifinalist, Belinda Davids
- Illustrious classical South African soprano back home from her international engagements, Vuvu Mpofu
- Multi-platinum selling and award-winning afro-soul superstar, Vusi Nova
- Sensational international musical theatre performer, Carmen Pretorius
- South Africa’s singing ambassadors, the Drakensberg Boys Choir
- Gifted young violinist, Pendo Masote, conducted by his father Kutlwano Masote
- One of South Africa’s leading dance companies, Moving into Dance Mophatong
- The Magical Phoenix Co. Orchestra
The event will once again be hosted and conducted by the legendary Maestro Richard Cock and crafted by award-winning director, Darren Hayward.
