Turn one can of Spier Rosé into a fresh and colourful festive welcome drink, with the addition of brandy, sliced fruit and your choice of soda water (for a dryer result) or lemonade (for a lightly sweetened result).
While sangria is usually made in a pitcher for a bigger group, this recipe neatly serves 2. Adjust quantities as needed.
Rosé Sangria
Ingredients: (serves 2)
- about 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 can Spier Rosé
- 2 tots brandy
- a few slices fresh orange
- about 6 strawberries, halved or sliced
- soda water or lemonade, for topping up
Method:
Divide the ice between 2 large stemless glasses. Divide the wine between the glasses, then add a tot of brandy to each glass and stir lightly. Add the slices fruit and top up with soda or lemonade, then garnish with a slice of orange. Serve immediately.
