When there’s no longer a restriction on the sale of alcohol, here’s one of the first gins to pop into your shopping basket.
The flavourful Japanese spirit, Roku Gin pairs perfectly with an arrangement of sweet delights, and the hexagonal shape of the bottle means it’ll look really trendy on your drinks trolley.
For a real taste sensation, try the Roku Surimu gin and tonic cocktail. Just add 35ml Roku Gin to 15ml lemongrass syrup, stir and then top up with half soda and tonic. To make the lemongrass syrup, just blend 200ml sugar syrup with a bag of lemongrass – leave four sticks for garnish – and strain.
You’ll find Roku Gin for R299 at Makro, Pick n Pay, Checkers and selected TOPS at SPAR.
