Serve up some snacks with this month’s DIY project

As we saunter on into January, the festivities continue, albeit in a more laid-back fashion. So ditch the formalities and serve up snacks and nibbles on this easy-to-make cheeseboard.

You will need

• Knotty pine bundle. Take two planks and cut to 79cm in length and another two to 77cm in length.
• 2x cupboard handles of your choice.
• A wood offcut measuring 22cm in length by 5cm wide for the back piece to keep the planks together.
• 8 screws.
• Wood glue.
• Sanding block.
• O’Grady’s chalk paint in a colour of your choice.

How to

1. Cut the planks to length.
2. Sand with the sanding block until smooth and paint.
3. Once dry, clip the planks into each other using wood glue to secure the wood.
4. Screw in back piece.
5. Screw in the handles.
