Happy June….

Our June edition is out and we know you’re going to love the selection of interesting profiles, tips and trends and exciting giveaways we’ve got lined up!

IN THIS EDITION
Health seems to have become more of a priority to people than ever before and this month’s cover girl, Megan Pietersen, is passionate about wellness and nutrition. It was while she was living in Japan with her Springbok rugby player husband, JP, that Megan’s interest in traditional health and wellness was ignited. The result is her wonderful range of protein powders and collagen creamers, Noa & Co. We found out more about the Elaleni mother of two.

While we might not have the same ice-cold winters as our upcountry friends, there is definitely a sharp little nip in the air these days. My go-to winter comfort is a hot cup of coffee and a good book and, this month, we feature two full pages of awesome book suggestions (and a good bottle of red wine, in case you’d rather that over the coffee!). We also have an article about a wonderful new local read by well-known author Dianne Stewart. Dianne’s book, Nuances (a collection of short stories), is a wonderful collaboration between herself and another North Coast talent, Ballito artist Jane Digby, who painted the picture that was used for the book cover.

Of course, June is the month we celebrate the patriarchs and the papa’s and we’ve got a great selection of Father’ Day gift ideas, grooming and a massive giveaway that you can win for your dad! We also meet some successful, local go-getter dads and feature a golf course round up. We love to celebrate success and this month we meet netball’s sportswoman of the year and the top hair colourist in the country – both of whom call the North Coast their home! If you love homemade pasta (and who doesn’t?), there’s a new little Italian spot in Ballito that you simply have to try … and we share some grand ‘winter warmer’ recipes as well.

GET IT KIDS
In our June Kids section, we tackle the daunting topic of ‘kids on screens‘, meet a young academic superstar and chat to a birth photographer who is passionate about what she does.

Enjoy!
