During my recent visit, I was invited to try the Esse Live Probiotic Experience – a 75-minute long facial, which includes specialised massage techniques and the application of live probiotics on your skin.
The friendly and knowledgeable therapists at the Ballito store ensured I was looked after from the moment I arrived, with incredible professionalism and care.
After filling in the comprehensive client information form and chatting with my therapist about my personal skin concerns, I was shown to my room, where I was given a breakdown of what the treatment would entail.
Designed to reduce inflammation, enhance barrier function and address the signs of ageing by restoring microbial balance and rewilding the skin, the Esse Live Probiotic Experience is both relaxing and ‘pampering’, while simultaneously doing wonders for your skin.
It includes a thorough skin analysis, cleanse, steaming, extraction and moisturising, followed by the application of the live probiotic ampoule and exclusion mask (which keeps the oxygen off your skin while the probiotic microbes work their magic!). While waiting for the mask, I was treated to a wonderful foot massage.
The elegant, upmarket spa is situated inside the concept store at the Lifestyle Centre in Ballito and, after doing a little ‘retail therapy’ in store and stocking up on some of the incredible Esse products on offer, I left feeling radiant and relaxed, with my skin completely rejuvenated.
