The Rise Up movement, an NPO that works to eradicate poverty, gender based violence, human trafficking and child abuse, officially launched its call centre at an event at the iLembe Chamber of Commerce. The helpline is designed to be a safe platform for those who have experienced violence to seek support and access resources, emergency services and online counselling. Guests had the opportunity to connect with Rise Up Movement founder Josha Daniel, as well as representatives from the mayor’s office, SAPS and the Department of Justice.
