Warm Karoo & The Kitchen will host a Babylonstoren​ Food & Wine Pairing on 6 October at 18:30, with an old-time Bloem girl and winemaker, Jeanne Pienaar. Tickets cost R600 and they can be found at Warm Karoo.

Annie Sloan techniques of colour & style

Join the Studio for a class on general paint work, embellishments, decoupage and much more on 12 October at 09:00. Equipment will be supplied. Contact 060 803 7020 to book your spot.

Be Human Whiskey & Gin Festival

The Be Human Whiskey & Gin Festival is back on 22 October from 12:00. Various gin, whiskey, and wine vendors will be present for tastings.  Die Heuwels Fantasties, Sunset Sweatshop, Ivan Roux, Karoo, Daniel Wesley and Neil Nachtrein will be live on stage. Mom’s Night Out

Calling all the mommies (and ladies) to join Urth for a delicious 4-course menu paired with Laborie Wines on 27 October. There will be prizes up for grabs at the event and spaces are limited so get your tickets at Urth while you still can. Tickets are available at R200 per person.

MUD Makeup Masterclasses

Join us for ‘An Educated Approach to Make-up’ presented by MUD owner, Brenda on 29 October at Urth. This masterclass is open to anyone who wants to learn how to do their own makeup, and for makeup students, artists or salons too. Guests will be spoiled with delicious snacks, lucky draw hampers, and vouchers to be used at the MUD Studio at Preller Square. Tickets cost R500 and include catering & refreshments. Miss Cancer Survivor pageant

Being the very first of its kind in Bloemfontein, the Bloemfontein Civic Theatre will stage beautiful queens who have fought and won their battle against cancer on 29 October at 11:00. This passion ran project by Mr Chief Leeuw (Executive Director of Miss SA Plus World), is important to him because his daughter is a cancer survivor herself (leukaemia). 16 cancer survivors will be on stage for the pageant and all are welcome to join in and witness this one-of-a-kind event focused on promoting hope that cancer can be beaten. Tickets will be available at the door, at R100 per person.
