Ilze Kirsten is the Financial Manager for both Dent Doctor Bloemfontein and Expert Truck & Trailer Spares. She is also the proud owner of her own jewellery business, M Design Jewellery, which she runs and manages with her husband Kenny. Further she is the secretary of the Bloemfontein Hellenic Community, a community close to her heart and for which she has a great passion.
Although Ilze enjoys a challenge and taking everything on by herself, she commends her team and mentioned that she has one of the best teams that assists her and has her back in everything she embarks on. “Elmarie Scott, our Admin Manager at Dent Doctor, and Hanneri Schmidt, my PA at Expert Truck & Trailer Spares, are my right-hand girls,” she added.
Between her responsibilities at Dent Doctor, Expert, within the Hellenic Community, and managing M Design Jewellery, time management is a challenge. However, she loves to travel and spend time with friends, so she makes a conscious effort to balance work and play and often meets up with those closest to her heart. Friends who have become Family.
Ilze is passionate about life by nature, so brain surgery a few days before the announcement of the Covid-19 lockdown, together with the strict lockdown rules, prohibiting visits from family and friends proved exceptionally challenging for her. “I need people around me so this caused me to fall into a depression. With the support and love from the most amazing husband, family and friends and our Almighty Father, I overcame that and I’m 100% healthy today and living her best life.”
