Baby sushi:

You will need:
• 200g sushi rice
• 375ml water
• 45ml rice wine vinegar
• 5ml sugar
• 6 nori sheets
• A bamboo mat
• Carrot sticks
• Cucumber sticks
• Cooked chicken
• Avocado slices

Method:
1. Place sushi rice and water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave it aside for 15 minutes.
2. Once the rice is cool, sprinkle vinegar and sugar onto it. Stir thoroughly.
3. Cut the nori sheet in half. Place it shiny side down and put some rice on it. Press down with fingers to a depth of 50mm.
4. Arrange the fillings on top of the rice in a line. Roll up the nori sheet and cut into six or eight pieces using a sharp knife.
5. Cover and refrigerate for 60 minutes, so that the sushi softens.


Carrot and avocado sushi:
You will need:

• 22,5ml sushi rice
• 30ml rice wine vinegar
• 15ml castor sugar
• 30ml mayonnaise
• 4 nori sheets
• 1 avocado, thinly sliced
• 1 medium-sized carrot, grated

Method:
1. Place vinegar and sugar in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
2. Transfer the rice to a ceramic dish and add the vinegar mixture to it.
3. Place a nori sheet shiny side down. Spread the rice over the nori sheet. Then spread two teaspoons of mayonnaise down the centre of the rice.
4. Arrange carrot, avocado and carrot over the mayonnaise. Roll up firmly, cut into pieces and serve.

Candy sushi:
You will need:

• 15ml butter
• 12 regular marshmallows
• 500ml puffed rice cereal
• 4 fruit roll-ups, any flavour
• 8 strips liquorice

Method:
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over heat and add the marshmallows. Stir until the marshmallows dissolve completely.
2. Remove from the heat and add the cereal. Stir and coat the cereal evenly.
3. Roll out the fruit roll-up and place the cereal on the fruit roll up.
4. Place the liquorice twist in the center and spread out the cereal mix.
5. Wrap the sushi neatly and place in the refrigerator. Cut into pieces and serve.
