WE’RE not the only ones who love Tokara’s wines. UK Master of Wine, Tim Atkins has named Tokara’s flagship white blend one of his ‘wines of the year’ in his highly regarded 2019 South Africa Special Report. The family-owned Stellenbosch wine estate had 11 of its wines included in the report.
Also included are the Director’s Reserve Red 2015, the Limited Rlease Pinotage 2017 and the “classy” Blanc de Blancs MCC 2012. Other wines which deserved mention were the Reserve Collection Chardonnay 2018, the estate Chardonnay 2017, the Reserve Collection Elgin Sauvignon Blanc 2018, the Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, the Reserve Collection Chardonnay 2017 and the estate Shiraz 2017, and last but not least, the estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2016.
