To celebrate summer, FAT bastard Wines has introduced its 2018 Chenin Blanc, a sumptuous sip of sunshine. Blended from a selection of the best wine from the year’s ripe harvest, the idea was to create a Chenin Blanc with intense fruit flavours and complex character. And it all comes together in that very first sip: Juicy yellow peach and a hint of vanilla dance across the palate and the wine lingers with a tangy note of fresh lime on the finish. A sumptuous sip of sunshine indeed! And it’s best served chilled on a summer day, and delicious with a glazed ham, smoked salmon, a Cape Malay-style prawn curry or golden peaches in a wine cloud. You’ll find it nationally for around R85 to R95.
