Nomfundo Mcoyi, founder and CEO of Icebolethu Group, will launch her first cookbook “BOARDROOM TO THE KITCHEN WITH NOMFUNDO MCOYI” in December 2020.

The cookbook, which includes a host of mouth-watering recipes, with a strong South African influence such as Lamb Shank, Chilli Spicy Butternut and Oxtail, will be available for purchase in December 2020. A well-known adage amongst chefs is that you eat with your eyes first, so to ensure that the dishes are presented at their best, each recipe has been photographed and styled to capture the essence of the dish.

As the title suggests: BOARDROOM TO THE KITCHEN WITH NOMFUNDO MCOYI: From Boss Meals to Supermom Dishes; the book offers readers a behind-the-scenes look into the entrepreneur, her life as a businesswoman and how the kitchen has been an integral part of her family life. Filled with her personal antidotes and essays, this cookbook relates the story of humble beginnings and how Nomfundo turned her dreams into reality.

“Meals play an important part of our family and community rituals,” says Nomfundo Mcoyi. “The aim of this cookbook is to let my readers see how easy it is to bring people together through good food.”

Mcoyi, who positions herself as a cooking enthusiast, rather than a cooking expert, looks to inspire her readers to get into the kitchen. BOARDROOM TO THE KITCHEN is filled with easy-to-intermediate recipes and above all else, is designed to be a home kitchen-friendly recipe collection. The recipes make use of ingredients that are pantry staples.

“I am highly involved in the creative process of this cookbook, there is a lot of love, care and time that has been invested in this passion project,” adds Mcoyi.

Mcoyi, who is bringing her many skills to pursue her cooking passion looks to, in the coming years, expand into a lifestyle brand inspired by her family and her KwaZulu Natal heritage.

The cookbook will be available for purchase in December 2020 in both print and on digital platforms. In the interim, the website: https://nomfundomcoyi.co.za/  will launch during the month of August 2020 where Mcoyi will provide her readers with teasers, including recipes, blogs and regular updates on the progress of her cookbook.

Nomfundo Mcoyi is the Chairperson of the KZN South African Funeral Practitioners Association and is a shareholder at Scribante Labour Consultants as well as Blacksuits. She has won numerous awards including the Standard Bank KZN Top Business Women for 2019.
